If you are having issues installing our items: Here are suggestions on how to fix those issues:
IMAGING UNITS
1) Cooling Down: Unplug the unit and wait 20 minutes to avoid minor burns.
2) Toner/Developer may stick together if the imaging unit sits on a shelf for a long time. Solution: Shake the imaging unit left-to-right (Long ways) 20 times, NEVER FLIP IT UPSIDE DOWN
3) Light Sensitivity - NEVER EXPOSE TO (Direct Sunlight) - Keep the imaging unit covered until the moment you are ready to install. Remove the old unit first then take the new IU out of box. Do NOT let it sit in direct light for more than a minute.
4) Never install more than 1 imaging unit at a time. Install the first Imaging Unit then power it up to make sure it's working. Repeat this process until all 4 are installed. See next #5
5) Toner Error Message when installing the imaging unit: After I installed the bizhub c450 imaging unit received a Code C-2251 Error message. If you get this you will need to replace the toner cartridge.
6) Make sure toner or developer is not gathering on the drum cleaning blade or web cleaning roller. If it is you need to replace it asap. This does not mean the imaging unit is bad.
7) Per Konica's notes; only one color should be changed at a time or they will not reset properly. After replacing one colored unit, the machine must be allowed to fully initialize and come to ready mode. After the unit is in ready mode you can proceed to change the next unit. Repeat that process until all units are installed.
DRUM UNITS
1) Cooling Down: Unplug the unit and wait 20 minutes before trying to install the new Drum Unit
2) Light Sensitivity - NEVER EXPOSE TO (Direct Sunlight)
3) Make sure toner or developer is not gathering on the drum cleaning blade or web cleaning roller. If it is you need to replace it asap. This does not mean the drum unit is bad.
FUSER UNITS
1) Cooling Down: Unplug the unit and wait 20 minutes before trying to install the new Fuser Unit
2) Light Sensitivity - NEVER EXPOSE TO (Direct Sunlight)
TONER CARTRIDGES
1) Cooling Down: Unplug the unit and wait 20 minutes before trying to install the new Toner Cartridge
2) Light Sensitivity - NEVER EXPOSE TO (Direct Sunlight)
