Toner

John is the manager of a local printing and copying store. One of his biggest headaches is that his employees just cannot seem to understand the importance of good toner. According to John, toner is the bedrock of his very existence. He lives, breathes and dreams about toner. Since he makes his money by using toner to make copies for people, to him toner is pure gold. Everything in John's world is somehow related back to toner. When his employees cannot comprehend the simplistic beauty of toner, John tends to get frustrated.

"Without toner you cannot print your documents!" John yells at Jill, a new employee who made the mistake of telling John to "Settle down, it's just toner." With this little comment, John goes on a toner tirade, launching into his lecture about everything toner:

"Just toner? Just toner? What you call 'just toner", happens to be a delicate mix of carbon and polymer powder that, when heated up, becomes the liquid toner that places text and pictures on to your paper. Just toner, you say? Unbelievable!"

Just when Jill thought John was through with his Ode to Toner, John spins around and continues talking toner:

"I bet you didn't know toner comes in two forms: black toner and colored toner?" John taunts Jill with his toner trivia, "Black toner is by far the more common as it is used more and is less expensive than color toner. And did you know that all toner is not equal? For example, a toner that produces a smaller granule of toner onto the printed page is of higher quality than a toner that produces a larger granule of toner. So there, 'just toner' you say? Ha! That will teach you to not respect toner again."

And with that John marched off into the toner storage room and slammed the door, at which time Jill muttered, "Yea, well if you ask me, toner is still just toner."
