Black Toner

Black toner is used always in laser printers and copiers,

as inkjet printers use ink. Black is generally the color of choice in laser printers, as colored toner is rather expensive, and black can be used to print out numerous text documents. Black toner is generally the choice for "workhorse" printers in any office, and has many features that businesses that print a lot of text documents find appealing.

While laser printers cost more, in the end replacing black toner cartridges and drums cost less than inkjet printers and replacing ink cartridges

Black toner is made up of several different chemicals,

including carbon, polyester and iron. This mixture of chemical compounds works together with an electrical charge to make the black toner like ink. The carbon is used to outline the image, while the polyester helps the flow of the toner onto the paper once it's been heated. The iron is what reacts to the electrical charge to make this all possible.

There are slight health risks when using any kind of toner, including black toner, but they are mostly for people with asthma and bronchitis. As black toner is a very fine powder, with the consistency of dust, it can be harmful to people with respiratory problems if released into the air. But that happens very rarely, and most people can be comfortably satisfied with the fact that black toner is an excellent solution to a large amount of printing.
