In the world of printers, you'll always need to replace the ink cartridges that you use. One way to do this economically is with discount ink cartridges. Discount ink cartridges do not have to be a cheap cartridge or an off brand though. There are many ways to get discount ink cartridges that are a name brand cartridge, without paying the large expense of buying directly from the name brand manufacturer.

There are several ways to try and find discount ink cartridges.

Before it was enough to get the ink cartridges from the manufacturer of the printer. But now there are several companies that offer ways to get discount ink cartridges for any printer without selling an inferior product. Some of the ways to find these cartridges are:

Online - There are several online shops that carry name brand cartridges for discounted prices.

In a store - Many stores sell cartridges at the full retail price, but sometimes you can find sales or specials for discount ink cartridges, you just have to look.

The actual manufacturer - The manufacturer of a product will have sales every once and a while too, or give discounts for people who buy in bulk, thus offering an even larger discount.

When buying discount ink cartridges,

you should be careful of deals that seem too good to be true. Make sure you trust the dealer you're buying from. Some people who sell discount ink cartridges are actually selling cartridges that have been refilled with generic ink, or generic cartridges that are just compatible with the particular printer that you have. Some also sell what are called refurbished cartridges, which are used cartridges that have been refilled and the labels removed. To combat this, some printer producers, like Canon have started putting special marks on their boxes and cartridges to reassure customers that they are not getting generic discount ink cartridges.
